If your commission request is approved, a 50% non-refundable down payment is expected. After this, the remaining 50% can be paid in increments for up to a year depending on your project’s total cost.

Commission work will not begin until your project is fully paid for. Your place in the client queue will also affect work time.

PayPal is the only accepted form of payment at this time. Listed prices & quotes are in USD.

Canadians may pay through E-transfer, the quoted USD price will be converted to CAD. Canadian clients must also pay sales tax dependant on their province of residence. 

In the event that you are unable to make a planned payment for whatever reason, please contact me ASAP to discuss options!

I understand that occasionally, things happen in life that are beyond our control. Regardless, your project will be pushed behind the next project in line, as projects are completed as they're paid for. If payments are missed consistently and/or 3+ months in a row, we reserve the right to terminate this contract. 

Your 50% down payment is non-refundable. Please be sure you're certain about your commission before making this payment.

Partial refunds may be considered depending on the level of completion your project has reached.

In the event of a cancellation, I reserve the right to resell any completed work (which will be altered to no longer resemble your character). 

We do not accept completion dates or deadlines.

 Our queue is subject to change but is influenced by which projects are paid off first. Fully paid projects will be moved ahead of those which have yet to be fully paid in our queue. Again, work will not start on a suit until it is paid off completely. 

For bodysuits, I require a well-made DTD to ensure proper fit. Poorly made DTDs can cause a poorly fitting suit.

If your DTD is unusable, I will request another at your own cost. Again, your DTD is essential to assure that your suit fits you just right!

Failure to provide me with your DTD on our agreed-upon deadline will cause your project to be moved behind those that are ready to progress.

For best results, use a strong duct tape and tape all the way down across your feet and hands (to your fingers' base). Including part of your neck also helps us get a proper fit.

If you are expecting to lose or gain weight before or during your commission, please wait to provide your DTD until you're ready. It is important that it be as accurate to your current shape as possible.

Don't forget to re-tape your DTD over where it was cut for you to get out!

Shipping is not included in the price of your fursuit. It will be charged separately once it is ready to be shipped.

Shipping costs vary widely depending on the total weight & size of the package, distance traveled, etc. All of our shipments are insured for 1000$ CAD which is Canada Post's limit. If anything were to happen to your suit during shipping, it is unfortunately out of our hands but we will be happy to pass the insurance money onto you. 

Color Carnage retains the right to select the shipping method and carriers that we prefer.

Color Carnage is not liable for any lost or damaged product. In the event of a lost or damaged package, please contact me immediately and photograph any and all damage the moment the package arrives.

Customs fees for international orders are the buyer's responsibility. Items shipped outside of Canada will be marked for the full value. Under no circumstances will ​packages be undervalued or marked as gifts.

All fursuits made by Color Carnage should be expected to follow the brand’s style. Reasonable accommodations may be made to suit the client’s taste, but under no circumstances will we mimic the work of other fursuit makers. If the style of our fursuits isn’t the right fit for you, we encourage you to consider other makers.

Once your commission design is finalized and payments have begun, any design changes or additions may be subject to a fee.

I reserve the right to refuse any requested changes/updates outside of what your original purchase was intended to be.

Please take your time & be certain about what you want for your project in advance! Any alterations to your project will increase the wait time of the full queue.

All Color Carnage suits include a one year warranty against defective work. To make use of your warranty, detailed photo documentation of any damage will be expected.

We will remotely assist you in any repairs that can be easily done, like popped seams. I retain the right to refuse warranty repairs that I believe are to be due to poor costume care or general negligence.

It is up to you to care for your suit. I am not responsible for any damage caused due to poor care such as: overzealous activity in suit, damage caused by the suit being loaned to another person, lack of cleaning or fur matting due to poor care, etc.

Repairs require that the client pay for shipping both ways. Please check with me before shipping any items in need of repair.

All items should be well cleaned before being sent. Failure to properly clean your suit may result in your package being sent back, and no repairs being done.

 Any and all modifications, alterations, or repairs done to the suit by someone other than Color Carnage will void your warranty unless otherwise agreed.

Repairs or replacements of various suit parts may be necessary over time due to standard wear and tear. Costumes can't last forever!

To best defend the fabric against your sweat, we recommend sweat-wicking undergarments to help prolong the life of your fursuit (ex: underarmor, balaclava, lycra gloves)

 Look for sweat-wicking 'heat gear' when shopping, as 'cold gear' is meant to retain heat which is the opposite of what you want!

 Investing in anti-sweat undergarments will significantly improve the longevity of your fursuit & make them much easier & comfortable to wear.

Digitigrade padding made with polyfill will flatten over time (and is not covered under warranty)-- we recommend simply un-zipping your padding and fluffing up the polyfill.

You should not expect daily updates (this goes for all commissioners in the queue). Updates will be sent as needed when your input on your costume is required.

Clients have every right to be aware of the status of their project, but asking for highly frequent updates is stressful to the artist.

Excessive emails, messages, notes, pms, texts, calls or DM's inquiring about your project are discouraged.

We ask that you keep in mind that Color Carnage is a single-person team. From customer service, responding to quotes, the completion of fursuit work and more, being a one-person workshop is tough. The more contact a client needs, the more the artist’s time is taken away from effective time management and other work.​

Fursuiting comes with risks, responsibilities, and potential health hazards.

Wearing a fursuit will create heavily limited vision, and high body heat temperatures. It is vital to drink water and take breaks while suiting! Overheating or heat exhaustion can be a serious health hazard.

Color Carnage is not liable for any bodily injury or harm to yourself or others which may come as a result of fursuiting. Use your best judgement and be responsible!

I will not work with clients under the age of 18 for any reason. ID may be requested.

I will not work with parents looking to purchase a fursuit as a proxy for their child, or for someone who is under 18.

I reserve the right to photograph, record video of, and share my suit work on my respective social media accounts.

When posting your own photos of your fursuit, adding credit to Color Carnage is much appreciated. If you tag us, we will gladly share your pictures!

 

To best bring your character to life, we will require a 3 sided “reference sheet” in which all markings match. Please make sure the colors chosen are accurate, and that the reference sheet properly represents your character.
